Pacific Side Pharmacy is proud to announce our community involvement in protecting the Environment by participating in a safe Medication Disposal Program!

Each year an estimated 250 million pounds of unused medications are improperly disposed! Some of these pharmaceuticals have been detected in the drinking water supplies affecting at least 41 million Americans.

Accidental Ingestion of these pharmaceuticals by children, elderly and pets have caused many near death incidents or resulted in tragic losses of loved ones.

According to the Partnership for a Drug-Free America there are 2,500 teenagers using a prescription medication to get high for the first time.

This is our community and we want to be actively involved, therefore we have come up with an easy solution to help our community dispose of medications safely.

Pacific Side Pharmacy has partnered up with the NCPA during Earth Week 2010 to bring you the Take Away Environmental Return System.

We would like to encourage the community to make a difference by simply bringing in your unwanted medications to Pacific Side Pharmacy for proper disposal.

Pacific Side Phamacy will gladly dispose of any of the following:

-Pills, tablets, capsules

-Ointments

-Creams

-Lotions

-Powders

-Inhalers, nebulizer solutions

-Liquid medicines up to 4oz, solutions & suspensions

The following can not be accepted by Pacific Side Pharmacy for disposal:

-Controlled Subsances such as Adderall, Vicodin, Demerol, Hyrocodone, MS Contin, Ambien

- Any sharps such as syringes and lancets

- Thermometers

-Home based care or durable medical equipment supplies such as Rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide
